FYI - Just because they received the application does not mean they have opened it yet. It will be a long while until you are able to see the status online. Make sure you check your email for any correspondence.

No it does not mean you are approved, it just means they received your application. It may not even be opened yet.

You cannot get SIN while on implied Status. My husband went to the SIN office with work permit to get his SIN which took 15 minutes.
