Looks like I'm halfway there. My certificate was returned today

I sent mine to the courier address from BC. Maybe that was my mistake but from what can tell it's being done in the Surrey office as that's where my cc charge was from so they must have sent it back to BC

I'm still waiting. My guarantor told me he was contacted last week and asked a few questions so I told my references they might contacted too. I was surprised as it doesn't sound like it happens a lot. Lucky me

I'd be curious to know what difference having an application transferred to a local office does. As far as I know, based on the call I received requesting new photos, my application is be done at a local office (where I was told to send new photos) and I've still been waiting nearly 2 months

Lol. Yeah it the usual system of follow the rules and get screwed, don't and be rewarded

I wish I could just cancel the application and start a new one and take it in person to a service canada office. I'm sure it would be quicker.

Helpful and depressing. 22 people who applied after me already have their passports. Why do they not process in the order the applications arrive...or would that make too much sense

They called me saying everything was in order apart from the photos. Apparently the stamp from the photographer on the back wasn't readable

I thought my eta was still valid as when I checked on CIC website it showed my passport still had a approved and valid eta until 2021. Also the border officer who processed my PR on landing suggested I keep my work permit in case I have an issue.
