Yes, the status changes to "approved" on MYCIC.

Tha Thanks for the clarification regarding additional documents. The email I got from them says to bring 2 photos for PR card. I already sent 2 photos to them when I sent passport and they sent one photo back along with COPR.

No, they are not sending the PR Card. You will get your COpr and then you have to complete your landing. You become a PR when you complete your landing. After completion of landing, your PR card will be mailed to your address. The current wait time for PR card is about 60 days.

I applied under CEC so I didn't submit that.

No, I think they just don't bother updating it. My application is approved and I was never requested for more documents. Congrats.
