Thread for 2017 - Dependent Child sponsorship Applications

I’m sorry, I really wouldn’t know. My child did not need TRV.

You can (and probably should) use the same GCKey for TRV. Passport stamping depends on your current place of residence. You will be asked to send it to the visa office responsible for your place of residence.

It doesn’t matter that the file is being processed in India. IRCC determines where each file will be processed and you cannot request the transfer. My son was in Canada during the whole sponsorship process and his file was processed in Vienna. Once everything was done, he landed in an IRCC...

CoPR letter "arrived at country of destination" since 3 weeks, but not delivered?

Registered mail is the slowest! I had a COPR sent to Canada from Vienna and it took about 5 weeks for it to arrive. It will get there eventually, but it takes time.

Hahaha, love this! It would be awesome if that was the case!

PR Parents and big daughter, small daughter no PR

That makes absolutely no sense. My husband and I have PR and we brought our “visitor” baby with us on eTA without any issues. We just went in a visitor line at the immigration and that was it. No big deal. How would they even be able to issue a visa for a visa-exempt passport? Call the embassy...

PR Parents and big daughter, small daughter no PR

Italian nationals do not need a visa to enter Canada, only an eTA. You can travel to Canada with your family, and once you’re there you will need to file for family sponsorship for your younger daughter to receive her PR. You cannot do that from outside Canada. Why did the embassy ask you to...

    RPRF fee for my child

Kids don’t pay RPRF fee, only application processing fee. So this is not applicable to your application.

Spousal Sponsorship Medical and MSP BC - Pregnant

Your best bet is to call msp and ask to speak to an enrollment specialist. They will be able to tell you exactly what will work for your situation. They’re quite friendly and helpful.

Spousal Sponsorship Medical and MSP BC - Pregnant

She will most likely be eligible for MSP, and the coverage will start 2-3 months after paying for the sponsorship. You will also need to have a proof of arrival to BC (like a boarding pass or a stamp in the passport). We just recently went through that with our son that we were sponsoring.

    Outland app currently in Canada

I sponsored my child for PR and his application was approved. There is no change in ecas, but Mycic shows decision made - approved. We also received pre-arrival services letter in mycic. It has now been almost three weeks that we had heard nothing else. No ppr, no copr. Obviously, since it’s a...

    Urgent: Need to Contact IRCC!

Just add couple bucks to your skype account and call them. I’ve done it many times and it always worked. With skype you cannot use 1-800 number. You need to use either 1-613 or 1-647... Sometimes it takes several tries to get through so take your time and keep on calling.

Thread for 2017 - Dependent Child sponsorship Applications

There was a whole list of documents which they requested. I included AOR as well but they were mostly interested in the sponsorship payment receipt and a flight itinerary or a boarding pass. Those two determined eligibility date for the insurance.
