Okay, one last question. If I apply to restore my status, can I leave before I get approved? I'm okay with loosing the inland application.

Thank you all for your answers. I NEED to leave to Europe for a week in August (in 60 days). If I apply to have my status restored it will take currently 97 days. Would it make sense to fly to another country right now, come back the next day and apply for a new visitor (eTA) visa?
