Work permits for Start-Up Visa applicants taking too long

Just to inform you all that I received PPR early November 2020 and I landed in Canada as Permanent Resident late January 2021. I am currently rounding up my quarantine and I intend continuing my tech business here in Canada. All the best everyone. PS: My AOR is October 2019

Please follow the instructions sent to you, it's around a year ago I applied for WP hence I've forgotten all the steps one by one. As for Medical Examination, you'll be instructed to do so when it's time i.e. a letter will be sent to you by IRCC. Use this link to check the available Medical...

You can do it all by yourself. Get all your documents ready and ask for help any time you need it. Make sure your English Test meet the benchmark and your POF is at least 6 months. If you're applying alone better as you won't have to worry about your spouse or kids. All the best!

Applying for a Start-Up Visa directly?

Hi Amin, I had the same problem, I found out the country of origin usually determines the result. In my case, I applied with the result I got which was work permit. Unfortunately, the Visa Officer processed it as a regular WP instead of SUV WP and I got refused even with a Letter of...

Applying for a Start-Up Visa directly?

@Rach03 from the link you shared, validity is 6 months and you're expected to apply for PR before it expires. I guess if you apply before the Letter of Support expires i.e. within the 6 months window, then your application will still be processed. Anyway, my own LoS is valid for 1 year. I just...

Applying for a Start-Up Visa directly?

@startup2019 my Letter of Support is valid for 1 year I'm surprised that yours is valid for only 6 months. I sense you were expected to immediately apply for WP once it was issued. The Letter of Support is a very important document for SUV if not the most important. My advice will be to...

Applying for a Start-Up Visa directly?

@startup2019 your questions have been answered well by @itsmelee I will add that you should exercise patience as you may not hear anything even after 5 months of submitting your biometric but once the processing starts it runs fast. As at last October 2019, the processing time was 13 months...

Congratulations and thanks for the information. I will like to know if you applied for SUV Work Permit along with the PR or you just applied straight for the PR. Can you also state the additional document requested for so as to send along with my application? Thank you.
