Thanks man! This is new (that they didnt apply PR card becuase you are taking u-turn) but it is what it is. Do you see any downside of not having PR card applied ?

@Deeds189 - I am also planning for 7/17 Peace bridge landing and u-turn. Do you want to connect ? @dumbsean - They didnt apply for PR card because you didnt have the canadian address or because you were taking u-turn ? Appreciate you sharing info.

what are the ways to see the status once application submitted ? The only way i know is to login to oinp site and after giving last name/first name & Email address. Next to the file Number it shows Application status. Any other status pages ?

what happens if one accepts NOI and goes thru Provincial nomination process while CIC cut-off mets the score and get invite thru Express entry too ? At that time $1500 is throw-away... It seems going thru OINP route is $1500 additional cost :)
