Did mine at Costco and they were just fine, just make sure you tell them that they are for the PR card.

That's not necessarily true, I just started my first job in Canada and with no experience I'm averaging $25 an hour at a local saw mill.

Well my journey has come to a fantastic end :) I have my pr card in hand, medical coverage, social insurance number and start my new job on Monday. This site really has been invaluable. Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences.

Called the call center today and was asked when my application was sent in, when I explained that I landed on 30th Sept the gentleman congratulated me and welcomed me to Canada. He went off to check the status of my card and came back saying good news, card was mailed on Nov 14th...that's a big...

Well that would have been 80+ days so I guess I'm looking at sometime early December, which is shitty because I got a letter today saying that my BC medical will be active from Dec 1st and that I need to take ID into my local ICBC office to be issued my card. Not to mention I need to get a SIN asap.

Has anyone recently received their PR card? I landed on Sept 30th - 46 days ago and the wait on the website is now down to 38 days. Is it worth giving them a call?

Same here in BC, the wait period is the remainder of the month in which you applied plus two months.

There is no payment option at the Vancouver office. When my appt was scheduled I was told it has to be paid at least 5 days prior to the appt date.

I'd love to know how they schedule these landing interviews, I got DM Sept 3rd and I'll be landing 8am Monday morning. I emailed to find out the wait times and the same day that I got a reply stating that my email had been forwarded to Vancouver, I got a call asking me to pay the RPRF and...

The fee doesn't have to be paid before you're contacted for the interview but as I was told today it does have to be paid before you attend as there is no way to pay once you are there.
