They started accepting applications for 2021 on January 1.

I took IELTS and had my ECA done recently but knowing that no one's file has been completed is demotivating and has me seeking other options before I submit in January. Don't know if I can manage such a long wait. Even if the processing takes long the lack of communication makes it even worse.

Wow, 18 months and still not even the work permit? I understand the challenges presented by COVID but this is simply ridiculous.

Based on what has been reported here no one has gotten a work permit under this pilot.

What Harkaran said is true, without experience you need to provide proof of your ability to do the work, which can be in the form of a minimum of one year of work experience; paid or unpaid or Caregiver certification or a combination of both. Please see link below...
