    My journey has ended, parents landed early April, got SIN and Health card, waiting for PR card. Altogether took around 3 years (they could come early, had to deal with something back home). Thanks for all the help and replies, lovely people on this forum! Good luck to all still waiting.

    Does anyone know what is the validity of PR visa? By which landing must be completed? Is it 1 year from medicals done or certain months from visa issuance?

    Nope, they used the term 'updated' in initial email to make sure it was generated recently as there is validity period for PCCs.

    Their standard letter says: "Updated Police Certificates from all of the countries you have resided in for 6 months or more since you turned the age of 18 years old." I was hoping they would ask for only last 10 years but that was not the case.
