    January 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

Hi all! I thankfully received an invite to take the oath on April 6th, with the ceremony itself scheduled for April 14th. However, typically, I was away during this time so had to request for it to be rescheduled. Does anyone have experience of rescheduling their ceremony and any idea how long...

    January 2021 - Citizenship Applicants

Thanks for the tip! That's amazing news. I don't have the old e-CAS system I believe, so does that mean I just wait for them to bother telling me? lol

I got an email from IRCC for telephonic landing after getting COPR

I have officially 'landed' as a PR! :) I did this in person at the visa office. Here's a recap of my experience, if it helps anyone: Received email invite to do telephone landing, which I accepted. I could not do the telephone landing because on the day, the agent called an hour later than...

I got an email from IRCC for telephonic landing after getting COPR

The letter I have for my in person appointment (received via pdf as email attachment) says I have to bring: - the two copies of COPR document - passport - 2 passport photos - valid temporary resident permits

Yes they said they would contact me within "three weeks" but it can vary depending on the visa office. So I suppose Vancouver is not too busy!

Congrats! I am in Vancouver too. My appointment was requested this morning and I got the email with a confirmed appointment time this afternoon. It is in 8 days so I think you will be seen before January too hopefully. :)

I got an email from IRCC for telephonic landing after getting COPR

Well there's no reason why you can't do both I suppose. The lady I spoke to at CIC arranged my in-person appointment and said if I happen to have a telephone call rescheduled before it then I can just do that and cancel the in-person one. Whether you can rely on the telephone landing team to...

I got an email from IRCC for telephonic landing after getting COPR

I called 888-242-2100 - listen carefully to the options and follow the instructions (you need application number handy), you will eventually reach an operator. I called at 8.45am PST and it was about a 35 minute wait. Their telephone system is actually quite good and they give you accurate...

I got an email from IRCC for telephonic landing after getting COPR

I would call CIC to get an in person appointment arranged (proven experience of this) or respond again to the email and hope that they will schedule a phone call (don't think this is has been confirmed by anyone yet).

Yes I think you can rest easy now that more options other than the telephone landing are opening up. :) The lady who phoned me late also mentioned something about having lots of BC people to catch up to.

I got an email from IRCC for telephonic landing after getting COPR

Amazing, Vancouver got back to me already. Scheduled appointment for 21 December at Vancouver visa office. Much prefer going into a physical appointment than waiting around for a phone call! It seems they've adjusted their earlier policy of telling people to send back COPRs which is great news...
