On the landing letter from your local office there's an email address, so I emailed them and explained, giving them my husband's work name and location for them to check if need be, and they gave us a week earlier. Calgary seems to be pretty laid back, and no as busy as other offices

Landed in Calgary yesterday :):D was quite simple, she just asked my husband and I to confirm our address, if we had ever been bankrupt or been charged with a crime. She punched holes in my work permit and visitor record and gave them back as momentos. She said it'll take 10 days for my PR card...
