im afraid the situation is not totally clear, my last visitor visa extension expires soon, but i already sent my PR and open work permit applications 4 months ago, they have been recieved and they are in process... my question is do i need to keep renewing my visitor status until i get my work...

thanks for answering, thing is i thought that applying for an open work permit with the permanent residence gave me implied status until i get my final answer. So thats incorrect?
