Well, I've got news. I've been told there have been unusual delays with the RCMP, it can take another 5 months for my checks to go through. @*&^%$#. That makes 26+ months for my application. Stethar

Absolutely nothing going on here either. On the bright side, I went surfing in Tofino last week. 33C sunshine, 13C water, lots and lots of waves...

Sadly, though, even those 9 months appear to be just a random number.

just got my foss notes: oct2010 aip mar2011 rcmp requested jun2011 resent rcmp next bf when interface is restored rcmp still pending. >:( :o >:( They didn't start background checks until 5 months after aip? and even then they couldn't because the interface wasn't working? OMG Stethar

Tired, thank you very much for your reply. I'm currently waiting for the FOSS notes to arrive (can't remember the date they were requested). And I have requested information directly from CSIS about the status of the checks, but still waiting for that as well. TO all, how do you manage not...

call centre just keeps telling me to wait, go figure, apparently they are still doing background checks (I'm 25, went to school, went to uni, went to Canada. I've never even been employed in Germany) I'm getting a wee bit nervous that my background check-file got lost somewhere. Do you know of...

My file hasn't actually been transferred. It seems to be having a cosy place on some desk in Vegreville.

Hi all, I'm just having a bit of a bad day today so I need to rant: those guys are still "working" on my file! I'm a bit worried that, say, CIC sent the clearance back to Vegreville, it got lost somewhere between the desks, and Vegreville just keeps waiting for those papers till the end of time...

Ah, the 9 months for the second stage have passed, and still no answer.... is there anything I could do to investigate what's going on (I'm reading a lot about papers having gone missing whilst sent from Security to Immigration)? Anything? Thank you so much for your answers. btw, call centre...
