Your legal Canadian name is now with the regular C.. we had a similar issue of the government dropping my partner's middle name, we were informed his legal name in Canada is First Last and all the foreign documents are First Middle Last.

No you can request a different location especially since they have them frequently in major locations.

Still waiting on DM over here! Apparently need ECAS to say DM in order to request an alternate ceremony location? Vancouver has them twice a week but Victoria only a few times per year.
