    This is what was in the email I received: You may submit the required documents either electronically or via e-mail. Please only submit via one method as duplicate copies are not necessary and will slow down processing of incoming documents.

    I got the same reply as well when I had included my birth certificate. I replied and re-uploaded the birth certificate and said I do not have any other documents. It did feel stupid and waste of time. It also seems like they are just copying and pasting the reply/request.

    I received the same where I had submitted my original birth certificate along with certified translation. I'm not sure if they missed it but didn't realize it? In any case, I re-attached the same document and wrote a note in the email and sent it to them. Waiting for update.

    I'll re-do the whole check list but only attached what they've asked for and then a letter of explanation saying what you did.

    Like @KEN2000 said, usually they send additional forms request and will say if something is not right and give you a chance. Can you copy/paste what IRCC wrote on the email?

    Looks like some of us got additional document request but it was for what we had already submitted? Aren't IRCC not checking the application fully and asking for the document again? Feels like waste of time and energy.
