They should be applying form India. Applying from a third country, that also being there for a year will show less home ties. You can't say they are in India and apply online because you'll need to give travel history.

You don't need a Canadian passport. You can apply for a super visa if you are a PR or a Canadian citizen.

All you need is the passport, PPR letter and consent letter from VFS. You'll get an email from VFS with these details. The email will come in 1-3 days after payment.

You should establish yourself first before giving them an invitation letter. Be working at least 6 months is a good start.
