I applied online, I also didn’t submit a police record. Luckily I already have a valid one so when they do request for it, I’ll have it to submit. And really 8 weeks? The Canadian website says 6. It’s peak season now, so I think that’s why its taking longer now. Back in Feb-May, it only took 3-4...

I submitted mine from August as well(Jamaica). It’s gonna be week 7 soon, Hopefully I can get a response soon.

Do you guys know if they send correspondence on weekends? I’ve only seen people receive in the week.

Well I know people who received it from June-July this year without a police record. So, I guess nothing is set in stone, and it’s different for some. Similarly, when a medical report is required for some and not required for others based on choice of study. But, maybe they were just lucky lmao...

I saw that as well, it’s confusing. But people have gotten it without a police cert. a police certificate is mostly only necessary if you’re gonna be a permanent resident

I heard if you’re submitting the application online, that the police record isn’t required, as people for their visas without submitting one. There isn’t even an option that says police report when you log in.
