Hi everyone, My application has been hanging in this last stage since early August. It says "Waiting on you", but I haven't received any instructions by email. * it's worth mentioning that I changed my original email, but I DID inform CIC of the change via the webform a while ago. I did not...

    Spousal sponsorship Biometrics question

Hi everyone, When we submitted application for spousal sponsorship we attached RCMP police certificate (like the one attached below) with fingerprints. Today we received a reminder from the Mississauga processing center to submit a biometrics fee. Do we need to do it or is it the same thing as...

    Niagara Falls bridge landing unsuccessful

Hi everyone, I know this has been discussed already, but I did not know this was an issue until today. So I got my CoPR and passport back and drove to Niagara Falls for landing. Upon return to Canada, the border officer told me that they only do landings from Tuesday to Thursday and only for...

So it took them just one day to move your case from IP2 to PPR? Wow, that's fast, congratulations! Mine has been in IP2 for almost 3 weeks now :( I wonder what's taking them so long.

I would call and ask a CIC agent about this. It seems like a rather unusual request, so their response would give you some point of reference. I could not find any cancellation timelines either.

Maybe write/call CIC and ask them if it's possible to upload a new letter? There will be no negative effects, but with CIC timelines I'm not sure if it will be faster than just waiting for your application to be processed as usual and then reapplying, if it is declined.

Do we know at which stage the visa officer checks your NOC code / job duties / employment letter? I've been in IP2 for over a week and I'm wondering if I've already passed this step.

My status since changed from "We are reviewing your background check" to "Not Applicable". Does it mean the BG check is passed? It was also N/A right after AOR, then changed to "We are reviewing..", and now is back to N/A.

Does my job description fit NOC 2172?

I attached the reference letter in the quote. The purpose of this thread was to get a second opinion on whether this is a close match. Thanks.

Does my job description fit NOC 2172?

Hi, I have applied for CEC under NOC 2172 (Database Analysts and Data Administrators). I'm currently working as a Data Analyst in data migration for a mid-sized (1500+) international company. I got the following employment letter, which I thought was a pretty close match. But now that I've...

    CEC calculator EILTS points changed?

Hi, Did CIC just change the number of points awarded for IELTS? I recall you needed 7.5 across the board to get the maximum score. Now to maximize your points you need 8.5-9.0 in Listening and 8.0-9.0 in Reading. Or has it always been like this? Thanks.
