Hello everyone,

I have applied for a visitor visa but it was declined due to the lack of bank account and travel history.
I have been to Saudi Arabia (with visa) and Egypt but I only included Saudi Arabia in my application.

So pardon me but I have some questions and I really really need answers from you guys.

Would my travel history that is containing only Saudi Arabia and Egypt be enough or do I need to travel to more countries? I have the Saudi Arabia visa, is it enough or must I apply for a western visa?

What if I travel to Malaysia (no visa required) the Maldives (needs visa on arrival) and add two more countries to my travel history?

Is my travel history the reason though or there's something else that is more important?

The reason my application was denied is pretty obvious why and since it's my first time ever applying for a visa to Canada, I had no idea that a bank account and travel history would even be needed.

The problem is that I am a college student and I'm currently on a break but I'll go back to school in September this year. My family supports my passion for travelling and I depend on them when it comes to finances.

I can get a letter from my school as a permission to allow me to travel and see my friend in Canada who is a Canadian citizen and he wrote a letter of invitation for me with all necessary accommodations and I'll be staying at his place for two weeks only then I have to go back home for school and take care of my mom and sister.


Will me, having a bank account be a red flag since I'm a student and unemployed?
My family will be helping me with the money I need for my stay in Canada so all I need is about $2000 CAD right? My friend suggested that I visit him in summer, some times around July to be able to enjoy my time there and get to see the Niagara Falls and do tourism before my summer break ends and must go back to school.

What other documents do you guys think I should include?

Would me being a student cause any suspicions?

How can I prove that I'll be going back home once my stay is over?

Please help me out. I really feel helpless here and my only wish is to meet my friend there.
