You can travel normally to your home country with expiry of 6 months mean Pakistan.. If you really need or have a plan to Pakistan then renew your passport but you have to update to CIC... But I am hoping that you will get your Citizenship until December..

There must be reason to request FP.. If your name match with any criminal record then they request for FP to clarify everything but its easy and smooth so relax...:):)
