Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Not true...I live in Ontario and have today off because our office is closed for Remembrance Day and I'm not a government employee

No; there is no limit; however, you have to satisfy the CBSA agent every time you come in that you are a genuine visitor that understands the rules and restrictions of being a visitor (no work etc...) and it should be fine

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

I returned from the UK in July after a month vacation; did not have a job letter or anything like that! I wasn't sent into secondary and everything went fine! I don't see why you should have any issues! From the sounds of it, it does seem like LVO is prioritizing Pakistani applications which...

    Flagpoling allowed?

Just flagpoled at rainbow bridge last night; but u do get the sense that the officers get a little annoyed at that since they asked me why I did not try to make an appointment at a CIC office instead of just turning up at the border.

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Update: have been very late at reporting this but last three weeks have been crazy dealing with an emergency; I'm a London applicant from September 2014 (SA on 30-October-2014);Application went into IN-PROCESS on July-13 based on E-cas; DM was around 23-July and COPR arrived in the mail on...

MISSISSAUGA OFFICE TEST POSTPONED PLZ JOIN HERE............

This does not make any sense; I am noticing people whose files were transferred to Mississauga as late as mid-may, even June in some cases that have received test invites. I don't understand why such an inconsistent treatment....I sometimes feel that people at CIC discriminate based on ur...

    Mississauga Office Applicants 2014/ 2015

Congratulations on receiving your test invite and sorry that you have to re-schedule it :( By the way; does your e-Cas show the test invitation sent out? I have a very similar timeline to yours (filed: Jan-23, AOR: Mar-03, IP: Apr-14 and LOT: Apr-28 - Mississauga Office); like many ppl, LOT...

Taking a trip whilst on a visitor visa....

I was in the same situation as you are; came to Canada last August 2014; stayed six months, applied for an extension and granted until October 31, 2015; in the meantime, went to the UK to visit family for month in June while PR was in process; returned in July with absolutely no issues at the...

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

CIC's incompetence is beyond me...there is absolutely no accountability, and no performance standards...it seems the more incompetent you are, the more suitable you are for CIC; lol All rants aside, I think you will hear good news soon from LVO...when they get seriously working on a file, it...

Thread for Outland LONDON, UK Applications!

Go back one page on this thread and click on the "London Outland Spreadsheet" link in andrew_brit's signature; that spreadsheet will tell you how long it's taking to process Pakistani applicants; to me, it seems that both Brits and Pakistani applications are getting processed in the same...

Moving back to Canada before hearing about my partner's PR status - question

I would suggest putting a UK address on the declaration card (even if it's a family member's address); it will satisfy CBSA that you are not yet "living" in Canada but just "visiting"...just my thoughts! Having a Canadian address as the home address may invite unnecessary additional questions.

    It's Acknowledgement Of Receipt...not always issued; some CIC offices issue them some don't;

    Tourist Visa Extension

Current country of residence: I put in as Canada and it should be that because that where she is currently residing hence u asking for the extension! Letter from you, your employment letter from your employer, pay-slips and bank statements are the ideal documents!

Arrival in Canada during app process

As many others have advised, just make sure you clearly state that you are "visiting" and not moving or coming to live. On the same logic, refrain from bringing too much with you that clearly indicates to the border agents that you are moving rather than "visiting". If you stick to these basic...
