Well, my mom, being over 54, is exmept from test. The oath letter talks about e-certificate vs paper one, but doesn't specify when/how to apply. Hence, I asked. BTW, her oath is on 15 March.

Whoever took an online oath, do they ask your choice of e-certificate or paper-certificate during registration? If not, how can I choose in advance?

That was my plan too. I will perhaps combine 1) applicant's finance, 2) our invitation letter, and 3) our finance together and upload as additional doc. Hope it remains under 2 MB.

No they don't. However, they got Canadian Visa 2-3 times before and I provided my FIL's UCI#. They also have a valid Australian Visa which the portal should not know.
