PR Renewal but RO not met

Thanks for the reply. I became a PR in june 2017 and been in Canada for only 10 days, had to come back because of some personal reasons. Was to go in May this year, however, with the situation prevailing(Covid19) not sure would be able to travel. Hence, was looking for information on H & C.

Is it possible to share(if it is not personal) what exactly you wrote in the H & C section and the documentation supporting it.

    Applying PRTD in India

It should not be an issue as you still have time left. Also, no harm in writing about why you came back and what your future plans are. The only section that is available for it is the H&C one. . When i had applied for PRTD, i had close to 5 years left to complete my residency obligation. i did...

Short, out of province landing, PR card query

Am still in India, could not move because of personal reasons. There wont be any issues travelling with PRTD card. Did read about a case where in a person was stopped at the Indian airport, however after talking to seniors he was allowed to travel. PRTD is like a sticker visa(in 2017 that is...

Help for getting letter of drivers's license athentication from INDIA

I do not have the DL extract with me now. The process was simple and took no more than 2 hours. The only problem was I had to go personally to the same RTO from where my license was made.

Solemn Declaration Concerning a Lost, Stolen, Destroyed or Never-Receivd PR card

Even if you send the solemn declaration and we assume it is accepted, chances of you getting the card before 28 december are slim. So, may be wait for the card to be mailed(as per the existng pricess) and keep on following on call.

Solemn Declaration Concerning a Lost, Stolen, Destroyed or Never-Receivd PR card

There would be no acknowledgement. The best would be to call CIC. I have had issues with updating of address and my card being sent to the wrong address.

Solemn Declaration Concerning a Lost, Stolen, Destroyed or Never-Receivd PR card

My case I had given my aunt's address. The new card was printed and delivered well before 5 weeks. Going by that you should have got the card by now. Best would be to call CIC and ask them for status of card. If you are out of Canada for long(28 December you are leaving for home) , you can get...

Solemn Declaration Concerning a Lost, Stolen, Destroyed or Never-Receivd PR card

CIC usually waits for 6 weeks before taking request for new cards, reason being the card can be returned to CIC or may be one just gets hold of the card. So they do give the time to search for the card or wait for it to be returned. When I called CIC after 6 weeks, they were not having my...

Solemn Declaration Concerning a Lost, Stolen, Destroyed or Never-Receivd PR card

Nope actually. Since you have asked, one reason could be that CIC do not want a person to wait any longer after having already waited for 2 months before. So, may be process the cases to completion which came in earlier.

PR travel document immediately after a week of short landing

Other than being a PR, the other requirement is that one should be able to fulfill the 2 year residency obligation. Since you became a PR a week back, you have nearly 5 years to fulfill the residency obligation. Hence, you would get the PR travel document. I, too had to return(after 10 days) to...
