It seems only applicants who applied over the last month are eligible for the recently updated timeline for regular process (10-20 days). According to what I see in this forum, applicants who applied before the recent update in the timeline are still waiting for their passport even 4 months...

Oh I see. I misunderstood your point then. As far as I know, they usually mail PP and certificate in two separate envelopes. So, you will probably receive your certificate soon in a different envelope.

They didn’t ask me to show COPR to them. They only asked to see my PR card and cut it, and another government issued id like DL. So, don’t worry about it.

How could you apply for a Canadian passport without having a citizenship certificate? AFAIK, one of the requirements to apply for a passport is to either show the certificate to an officer in-person in a passport office/service canada office, or mail it to them. Please kindly clarify.

Hi. No. Actually they asked me if I have travel plans for the following couple of weeks, and I answered no. So, the speed of certificate delivery in my case was definitely not affected by this option.
