My visa validity is until end of October. My friend who is going on the same trip with me applied for mulitple entries (very wise indeed) got 3 years visa.

Thank you. If I knew that, it was so difficult to get the visa, I would have applied for multiple entries. Stupid of me! Next year I have to go through all the process again >:(.

Finally got my passport yesterday. I came by the normal mail because I did not put the right envelope in there. Make sure you follow the instruction strictly and the timeline for LA Consulate is normally 7 working days after received the passport.

You are absalutely correct. My passport came yesterday (what a relief!) in a normal mail. Lesson Learned, never listen to the UPS guy. Always follow the instruction.

How did you get the update? Did they respond to your email?

I also think that my passport now comes by regular mail which could take 7-10 days. If this is the case, I would definitely go back to the UPS office and tell them not to advise anyone like this again. I still have 3 weeks before my travel date. I just hope that I don't lose my passport.

I haven't got my passport back. I sent it since 9 May and received by LA Office on 10 May. I sent it by UPS and the UPS guy told me not to put the envelope inside because the envelope I sent can be re-used. I think this may be the issue. I am so worried. Don't know what to do.

I sent a fax this morning. I read from others that they normally reply to the fax than the email. Hopefully I would get it soon (either passport or response).

Meng5656 : my timeline is almost the same with you but I haven't got my passport back. I sent the passport on 9 May, UPS confirmed that it arrived on 10 May. It is one day different from yours but you have got your passport back. Now I am concerned why mine hasn't come back.

I have mailed my passport to LA Consulate since 9 May but haven't received my passport yet. I check UPS tracking everyday but it has not been generated. Anybody has the same problem?
