    Since I got my PR in Oct 2022 and haven't been to Canada since 2022, if i come to Canada in August 2025 and immediately apply for spousal sponsorship, will there be any issues with wife's application since I have not been residing in Canada for the past 3 years?

    thank you @armoured and @canuck78 for your inputs, I'm thinking of going the route of return to Canada -> sponsor outland PR -> get AOR and then apply for TRV and if possible for OWP as well

    okay, is it safer to file for TRV after we receive the AOR ? and also is there a way we can file for work permit with outland ? from what I have seen online look like it is not possible but some people have done so

    yes I plan on making it to Canada by end of July and researching the best option to sponsor my wife, are there any advantages of doing outland over inland? and whether I should wait till i am in Canada to apply for her TRV after I submit her application and get AOR

    thanks, what would be the best route to sponsor my wife? inland or outland? my wife does not have any Canadian visa as of now
