    Temporarily leaving Canada under Covid

Hi all, I am a PR from Spain and given the situation, I'd like to leave for a few months in the new year to be back home with my family. I'd self isolate in Spain as soon as I land of course, but aside from that, what do I need to know? Will Canadian authorities allow me to leave the country? I...

LEAVE CANADA WHILE WAITING FOR OPEN WORK PERMIT

It probably depends. Do you have a current status in the country and will that status remain while you're away?

Getting a drivers license in BC

Thanks, I get that, I do not intend to drive without a BC license. My question is more regarding whether or not I must get a BC license now to be able to benefit from transferring my foreign one and its years of experience or it doesn't matter when I do it as long as I don't drive in the meantime.

Getting a drivers license in BC

No, I would have to prove my history and still take the test, but would skip the two years "probation" for a full license. My question is what happens after those 90 days since that's also the period you can drive with a foreign license.

Getting a drivers license in BC

Hello all, I just have a quick couple of questions that I couldn´t find answers for in the official websites. What happens after the 90 days grace period to switch from a foreign to a Canadian (BC) drivers license? Do you just lose the ability to drive legally in BC or does it mean you must...

    US Canada Driving License Exchange

Quick question, what happens after the 90 days grace period to switch from a foreign to a Canadian (BC) drivers license? Do you just lose the ability to drive legally in BC or does it mean you must start the process of getting a drivers license from scratch like a teenager? Also, do they count...

My experience reentering without status during inland PR application

I´d like to update this thread by clarifying that, yes, even though they did not stamp my passport, I got 6 months of visitor status. It doesn´t really matter anymore since yesterday I had my interview and got my PR!!!! Good luck everyone! It´s just a matter of time. If I can answer any...

My experience reentering without status during inland PR application

I told them that my PR application was in progress, that I was aware of my lack of status but immigration had recommended that I left in order to renew my passport. I think it helped that my application was already on the last stages and that I had a very valid, understandable and easy to prove...

My experience reentering without status during inland PR application

If you are hoping that the officer looking at your passport might not notice unless you tell them, you are in for a disappointment. Make their job easier, say "hello officer, this is my situation and this is why I left". Things will go better than them having to dig through your file and...

My experience reentering without status during inland PR application

Yes, he should mention it. Do never lie or hide info from the border officers. They'll know you're lying or not mentioning something important by looking at your file. He will need an ETA and a valid passport with at least 6 months left on it. Other than that, they didn't need to see anything...
