I think you would need to link it, I didn't receive an email to say my work permit was approved but that there was an update in my account

I received AOR yesterday, I'm an April 6th applicant.

Yeah, me too, for me personally I'm not concerned with how fast the PR processing goes now that I have the work permit (as long as it's done before the permit expires I guess)

Yeah, and still not received AOR. Looking at the spreadsheet it seems that OWPs are coming sooner than AORs for people in late March / early April

Received my OWP today, full timeline in my signature

App receieved April 6th, got a confirmation of my OWP approval today on GCKey

Not yet, looks like they're up to March 23rd with AOR, although it doesn't look like they've sent any out in the last week

My application was received April 6th and I was able to link the OWP today through GCKey using UCI, family name and passport

Out of interest where have you seen about April applicants getting AOR, or getting their applications sent back?

I'm unable to link my application, and from what I understand very few people whose applications were received in April have been able to link theirs. Looking at March applicants it looks like once the AOR arrives people have been able to link.

My partner (sponsor) received our AOR (although looking at the spreadsheet, which I will add to, this may be a prospective AOR) today! It states "We have received your application, and will advise whether your application is complete or is missing required documents.", so I guess they haven't...
