I understand they have to leave, but many do not want to leave so what if they just go into hiding? Does the government track them down and remove them? Or they will just stay illegally forever not paying taxes etc... just so wrong on so many levels...

Applications like this are waste of taxpayer money... irresponsible... going through the process twice as one cannot wait an extra month just to be sure... then calling your MP because you made a mistake... wow... really sad.

This seems like straightforward immigration fraud... stories like this put all immigrants in bad light. Very sad that this can happen in Canada.

These new rules are probably the result of PR card holders keep entering Canada without meeting their RO... it is always a problem that some "bad apples" create a problem and then the rules change for everyone...

How can someone not declare their spouse? LOL .... these cases give bad reputation for all immigrants. I hope the government is reading these threads here and checking the IP addresses...

The current system wastes a lot of taxpayer money on investigating scam bags who then disappear before deportation... time to introduce a system that works for honest people instead of scam bags.

I do not see why anyone is upset that people who do not meet the PR residency requirement will not be allowed to enter Canada. This should have been the law from day one. It serves honest people and keeps the scam bags out of the country. Canada is a fantastic country due to peace, order and...

The most important thing is honesty and transparency. If you have nothing to hide then your case will be fine. Applications take long time to process when applicants do not have the required information in a clear and transparent way (e.g. missing documents, foggy stories etc.)
