If you have a lease from September, I would claim September as the start date of living together and apply a few days after the 1 year mark in September. You should obviously apply Outland, and you will need letters from friends and family stating they know about your common law relationship...

Maybe try the IEC program if you qualify...that gives you 12 months to stay in Canada and then get visitor visa's after...but apply for PR soon...it takes a long time...and don't stay in the country without status...it won't look good on your PR application.

I don't think they will be mailing very much. More than likely you will get email notification first. Since you uploaded your new address, it is very likely there...but they give themselves a "cushion" of time to tell you that they will update it. Address changes I'm sure get higher priority...

I'm happy to report that I received my email from the VO that my Visa is ready to be picked up by courier (at my own cost of course). All arranged and emailed shipping label to VO to have them send it to me UPS. :D ECAS still showing "application received" :'(

Thanks very much...that was fast work!! Just got my email to arrange for a courier to pick up my visa documents!!! ;D COPR is good until August. Bit of a pain to arrange for the courier myself (since VO won't do it) and cost me $175!! But at least it is done. Now only one more waiting...
