Hi everyone! Before I begin I just want to thank all those who answered questions and were so helpful during this entire process. This forum and particularly this thread have been so helpful, so thank you. I want to share my husbands experience who finally landed in Toronto, Canada today and is...

Any idea how long it usually takes between the information in GCKey being updated (counterfoil/expiry date update) and receiving the AL?

Hi everyone, just to make sure are Authorization Letters being emailed, sent to GCKey online profile or are they being mailed? I doubt being mailed but I just want to make sure from those who have an idea.

Yes when you are ready to travel you raise a Ready to Travel webform. A lot of people submitted all the information required of them in the 4 pointer email without actually receiving a 4 pointer email, so technically you can do the same when ready. But yes that’s the process. As for how many...

All you need is the Authorization Letter and to make sure that the online information on your profile is updated. Other than that nothing else. congrats and God bless you in your travels. P.s what did you apply under? Express entry? sponsorship?

Technically the authorization letter does not apply to cases with valid CoPR. Currently, your CoPR is valid and therefore do not need an AL to travel. However, with that being said, if you were approved after March 18, 2020 you cannot travel at this time unless one of the exemptions is met.

I think it would be more beneficial for you to show that you have made such a booking. Honestly, a lot of Airbnb’s are offering free cancellation and are being flexible with that. So you can book and cancel at a later time if needed.

Hey, A lease agreement is not necessarily a requirement. They have put it as an example of one of the ways you can provide as proof. What they need to be absolutely certain of is the quarantine plan and if you have a place to stay during that 14 day period and you have the necessary funds to...
