DO NOT APPLY WITH LESS THAN 1095 DAYS (READ MINE)

My fiancee miscalculated the days and found out she submitted her application with less than 1095 days after sending it in. It took over 3.5 years to process and an RQ (including over 2 years without any news from CIC), but she did not have to see a judge and her oath ceremony has been scheduled...

Typo in what came with oath invite?

I didn't quite understand the question so I can't really help. Are you able to scan and post a link to that page? This might help us understand and look into what's happening.

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

Just a heads up that my fiancee's ECAS was updated this morning with an oath date! She applied in early 2012 and took her test mid-October. It's been 45 months since she submitted her application, but it now reads: "We sent you a notice on November 23, 2015 to appear and take the oath of...

    2011 and 2012 Applicants

My fiancee applied in early 2012, finally did the test mid October at St. Clair and DM appeared a week after the test. Still nothing about an oath date. The officer at St. Clair said she should expect at least 2-3 months from her test date to be invited for the oath, and said that she could...

How long until seen by Citizenship Judge?

I've seen that take anywhere from a few months to 3+ years, so there's no way to tell for sure. My partner miscalculated the number of days and ended with a number slightly lower than 1095 a few years ago. It's now been 45 months since she applied and she's still not a citizen. On a positive...

    Test to Decision Made timeline

It usually takes them anywhere from a couple of days to 2-3 months to contact/update you after the test. If you haven't been notified after that, you can call CIC or request an ATIP for additional information.

citizenship ceremony in absentia - cic is wasting my time!!!

First of all, congratulations on the new job. You have to be present to attend the ceremony. A no-show might start a procedure for abandonment. As per CIC: "Ceremony (oath) no-show: Applicants are given one opportunity to appear for their citizenship ceremony and take the oath of citizenship...

How much time it would take to hear back from CIC either for Oath Letter (or) RQ

I can't say specifically for the Calgary location, but overall, it seems to take anywhere from a couple of days to 2-3 months. If it's been longer than that, you can try calling CIC or requesting an ATIP for more information.

My old mailing address appears on Ecase?

Yep, its lack of reliability seems to be the norm, shamefully.

    is ECAS down?

Not only ECAS. The ATIP Online Request page is also down. Looks like a wider issue with government related websites.

Unlucky Immigrants waiting to apply for citizenship

I apologize for going straight to the point, but you're not unlucky at all. You should change your perspective, raise your head and consider yourself extremely lucky that you had the opportunity to immigrate to Canada and will soon have the right to apply for citizenship. Be proud. Even if...

My old mailing address appears on Ecase?

My partner changed her address online multiple times but it never updated on ECAS. She called CIC a couple of times and they confirmed both times that they had the updated address on file, even though the old one still showed on ECAS. The address only changed to the new one on ECAS when her...

Scarborough office / timeline after test

You should order an ATIP. It will show you the latest update and might help you understand why it's taking this long.

Be there very early for oath? Or any other planning advice, please?

My ceremony was about 8 years ago so things might have changed, but my family members and I could see each other at all times, even we weren't really next to each other. I mean, we got in and I had to line up to check in, hand in my PR and landing paper, take a seat, and so on. As soon as I...

    March 2015 Citizenship Applicants

I said this to someone else yesterday, but it's worth repeating. Just calm down and relax. Each case is unique so don't worry that others already did their tests or got their citizenship. To put your case in perspective, there are people that applied in 2011 still waiting. We know CIC is moving...
