They must have already processed your fingerprints, now it is only the backlog that IRCC has to clear before they send you test invitation. There are hundreds if not thousands of people in front of you, so just be patient, you will get test invite soon. You can always see the 2018/2019...

I don't get the issue here. Are you unhappy the IRCC didn't waste 2-3 months of your (relative's) time and pointed your mistake earlier than expected?

There is no exact time anyone can give you, could be a month or 2 or 3 or more. Its best you check the spreadsheet of your month's applicants and get a rough estimate by comparing your files to others in similar situations
