    That depends on your interview letter. I got the letter for interview but it did not mention that I need to be in Canada. However, I replied to the same mail explaining my circumstances and they approved for me to be outside Canada for the interview, and interview was held couple of days back...

    I was told when someone makes frequent international travel (my case), or when someone traveled outside after applying (my case), then they may call for interview as I understand. They may interview for other circumstances also
