Has anyone received a letter of ineligibility following bill c-12 receiving royal assent?

What I said was misunderstood. I think Bill C-12 is a flawed law and doesn't align with my worldview. The one-year limit also doesn't fit my worldview. But I only meant that if the law has passed and is to be applied, there shouldn't be a distinction between referred and unreferred...

Has anyone received a letter of ineligibility following bill c-12 receiving royal assent?

Regardless of whether it was referred to the IRB or not, everyone who applied after June 3rd 2025 should receive an ineligibility letter. Anything less would be unfair.

Bill C-12's Nearing Royal Assent and Refugee Claim Eligibility

I think it refers where the application needs to be submitted after June 3, 2025. So, we need to pay attention to two dates: one is June 24, 2020, and the other is June 3, 2025.

Bill C-12's Nearing Royal Assent and Refugee Claim Eligibility

I disagree. The one-year time limit is set from the date of initial entry, and if they haven't made any changes to the draft, those who entered to Canada the first time before June 24, 2020, should not be affected.

Bill C-12's Nearing Royal Assent and Refugee Claim Eligibility

It shouldn’t affect anyone who entered the country first time before 24 June 2020, but this is Canada—anything can happen. I also expect applications submitted after June 3, 2025, to be affected.

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

The security screening process for the asylum application was completed within two months of the application. So, unless there are very special circumstances, it's a process that can be completed within two months. The problem here is that they are slow due to quotas and processing times.

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

Among all IRCC application categories, the Protected Person category is the closest to being a "kebab line." The approval rate is around 90%. It's a simple category; you should approve it unless you have a very strong reason to deny it. Before COVID, people in this category received their PR in...

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

There's no such thing as "not working." There are people who are gettinh Final decisions during this process, but the acceleration mentioned hasn't started yet, I think they're making the necessary investments and systematic adjustments. Someone in forum said the acceleration would start in...

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

Those who claim the information regarding applications made in 2024 is incorrect are quite confident in their claims; however, a friend of mine applied in February 2024 and received his Portal 1 email in early February 2026. So IRCC doesn't process applications first in first out, and that's...

    question.. departure order.....urgent

If your claim is eligible to be referred to the IRB, the removal order will be conditional (that is, not in force), until a decision is made by the IRB. If your claim is ineligible, then the removal order may be in force. As the guide states, if a removal order become enforceable, the file may...

How to get seized documents from IRCC after PR

Unless they changed their policy, they were giving it after receiving the PR. What is this information based on?

    question.. departure order.....urgent

If the officer conducting the eligibility interview clearly states that they have determined your claim is eligible for referral to the RPD and are referring it, I believe there should be no cause for concern.

    question.. departure order.....urgent

This document, when an asylum claim is made, is similar to the standard departure order given during the eligibility interview. There should be no need for appeal; if the claim is unsuccessful, this decision will be enforceable.

    question.. departure order.....urgent

Perhaps there's a case of ineligibility. Under normal circumstances, I think a hearing would be held even if it were an exclusion, like having citizenship of another country.
