Hi, I have a friend that is trying to apply for his open work permit now, application for TR to PR submitted May 6. work permit will expire in December and now he is in the process to submit application for open work permit. He is unsure if his kids have to fill out the same extension form.

Question, a friend of mine has his work permit coming to an end in December 2021 but job offer expires 2023. He currently has an application in for TP to PR with no response at the moment, and he has four kids and his wife. what is the process? do they all need to fill out the IMM5710e

The MP office would not be able to speed up the process, but will only help to get more specific information on what their next step is compare to if you call them, they will just they it's within the normal processing time and being process. Sadly, it's just a wait from here on.

If you call your MP office and request that they make a call for you, it may help you to better understand. I did this sometime ago.
