So COPR arrived on Friday... We are leaving Canada for vacation on August 10... So we decided to not get our COPR stamped, but do it when we come back from vacation on August 31. We don't think the PR card will arrive on time... We also don't want to play immigration roulette at Niagara Falls...

So it seems that your three year residency does not have to be as a PR status. For people who have been in-land in Canada prior to getting PR, those years count... In my case, I have been living in Canada for the last 5+ years as a student, and resided "legally" in Canada as a "legal" temporary...

My best advice is to wait... I was in the same situation with a PPR sent to the wrong email address on February 20. It was four months before I got the actual PPR. So... wait... The only other thing is to wait until six months is up... and then ask them to escalate it... :)

It all goes to show that everybody is human... I just sent out the passport copy yesterday so I guess I'll hear back in two weeks... Man they really bash the "two weeks"!!!
