It took five weeks for me. When was your test?

Just received a notice to appear for the citizenship ceremony on May 25! I did my test on March 29th and got decision made April 5th. The invitation is sent out by email but the attachments are quite challenging! Any experiences with how to download and open them?

Interesting that they emailed you the oath invite. I thought that oath invites are mailed the same way that test invites are from the Ottawa office! What does you eCas say?

Unfortunately it's not like that for every one. I've been DM since April 5th and no news yet. The rest of the process is going to be way more stress free if you go by the 4-8 weeks mentioned earlier.

I would say it is still possible to get an invite this week for April 27. Someone from September received an invite on April 10 for the ceremony on April 27.

You don't need a valid PR card to attend your citizenship ceremony. If you don't foresee any upcoming travels outside of Canada before becoming a citizen, you don't need to apply for a new PR card.

My eCas shows tonight that they have sent a notice on March 7 to appear for citizenship test on March 29. I didn't receive anything by email though. Is it normal for test invites to be sent out with mail only? Thank you!
