Anyone's application got processed in Edmonton visa office?

It is common to wait close to 6 months from AOR to PPR, but recently there have been some applications processed in as short a time as 2-3 months. Unfortunately it just isn't possible to tell what will happen until it happens.

Most people in this situation get their PPR within 2-3 weeks. I can take longer, but the chance of getting another ADR is very small at this point.

Wow, congrats! That is a very fast timeline.

You will receive your passport (or passport copies) back with an unactivated (not signed, does not grant permanent residence yet) paper copy of your CoPR. The CoPR is activated during landing. 2-3 weeks is normal. It took 3 weeks for us to receive ours back.

PPR to COPR Journey - PPR in JAN/FEB-19

You should receive the unactivated CoPR as a paper copy with your passports. However, the CoPR has no legal meaning until you activate during the landing process (when you receive it, it is not signed yet).

Just to update you guys, I got my CoPR activated on Saturday at the Coutts border crossing in Alberta. Pretty excited and relieved that the whole process is over :) For any inland applicants in Alberta, when you need to do your landing, I can highly recommend going to Coutts instead of Carway...

2-3 weeks is normal. For me though, I had to wait 9 weeks.

I'm pretty sure ADR does delay the process, because if you didn't get ADR, then you would go straight to "recommended pass" or "met". With ADR, IRCC has to wait for your response, then you have to wait for them to pick up your file again to consider your new documents. I had two ADRs and I am...

PPR to COPR Journey - PPR in JAN/FEB-19

Thanks. We went to the border on Saturday, and while the queues for the cars were pretty brutal (about 45 mins into USA then 45 more mins back into Canada), the officer was really friendly and processed our PR in about 15 mins. For anyone planning on going to the border in Alberta, I highly...

    Etobicoke Landing Experience March 2019

Thanks for the response. My temporary status expires in 10 days and I just got CoPR yesterday. Appointment is not an option unfortunately, I called and the soonest they can do is three weeks away.

    Etobicoke Landing Experience March 2019

It seems pretty extreme to have to wait 30 days then however long after that until the actual appointment. What would be the downside of going to a border whenever you want, and getting it done right away? Am I missing something? I am in a similar situation.

PPR to COPR Journey - PPR in JAN/FEB-19

Inland applicant here. So I got my CoPR and called IRCC to make the landing appointment, expecting to talk to an actual person and get a date... and I get an automated message saying to email them and they will get back to me within THIRTY days? Presumably when they get back to me, the...

Application is approved but waiting for PPR/Landing Interview mail

Just in case anyone gets confused about different kinds of approval - there are three different types that people refer to on these forums: 1) All stages passed/met - this means eligibility, criminality and security are all met. Sometimes people call this "approved", but it's not the same...

Application is approved but waiting for PPR/Landing Interview mail

I am in Calgary, and I sent passport photocopies to Ottawa. I am pretty sure all of the passports get sent to Ottawa for inland applications, no matter where your CPC or VO is.
