Quick update. Today I've got my passport back with visa and COPR. It took 31 days since it was received by Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

Their opening-closing hours during Ramadan are different but they are still working the same number of hours each day....they are just probably short-handed now. Hope to get my passport on time. I've already submitted my resignation letter

We'd only have to submit biometrics if we are told so by Canadian government (notification letter would be sent in such case). I just don't know how long it may delay the overall process of landing in Canada if we have to submit those biometrics. You can find some info here...

Hi. Why did you have to do biometrics if this policy isn't implemented yet and most likely wouldn't apply to those whose PR visa has been alreay approved?
