Unfortunately I agree - people who don't make noise can be "forgotten". We have to be treated reasonably fairly as compared to recent applicants who are having their application approved in only a few months.

Have you written to the CIC Ottawa email that people put on this thread? Several people have done so, stating their discontentment with their application not being processed, while 2022 applicants have already written their test and for some of them, taken the oath. Did you bring your plane tickets for the passport application?

The application form says "we do not encourage you to finalize your travel plans until the passport is delivered". So why do we need to show plan tickets?

I did the same. MP called, then I emailed Ottawa office. Not sure what worked, but if I did nothing I could be still waiting now.

Ottawa office here. Just got the update for the oath, waiting for the email. I would suggest your write to the email address that was shared on this thread.

Not sure if it's the norm but for a lot of people, their file was transferred to another office once the decision is made and waiting for oath. So it can change.

All calls from my MP office to IRCC are documented in the notes. Not sure if it is related, but my application moved just after the 2nd time they called. For those who are still waiting, it could be good to try that.

So I guess planning on re-fueling the car just across the border doesn't count
