yeah my wife sent an email and they said file is finalized and passport will be sent shortly on dec 10 but till now did not heard anything from advo :(

Yes you can travel from your home country and regarding your extra luggage its totally depends on you you can send it by any option, yeah its tax free for the first year starting from your landing date but you have to collect it by yourself so shipp it accordingly otgerwise it will cost you more.
