Hello guys, Sharing the stats of someone I know (not my own case): AOR: March 18, 2024 Biometrics: April 23, 2024 Security screening: Since November 2024 (ex-military background) Mandamus with a lawyer: started in Feb 2026 and last step in April 2026. (Mandamus didn't do much help in my...

Of course it’s not guaranteed , mandamus never is. But that doesn’t mean waiting until the five-year mark will somehow give you a better chance. If there’s no serious security concern or other valid explanation for the delay, you can already make a strong argument that a delay of this length is...

A lawyer advising you to wait to pass 5 years? for what reason? It is obviously a very unreasonable delay past 3 years

Hello, I'm sorry if I missed it but after receiving the response from DOJ, did you file another memorandum to address their arguments?

Ditto, that's what I'm gambling on, if there's some movement great, if not then I would have done everything in my power.

Hi thanks for taking the time to share your case! I've seen a few previous mandamus testimonies where people got updates surprisingly quickly after starting the process. My feeling is that this mostly happens when the application is already close to completion and is just sitting in...

Hello guys, Anyone here currently going through mandamus for an application stuck in security screening? I’m interested in comparing timelines and seeing whether it has triggered any movement on people’s files. I know the Federal Court is currently backlogged with JR files, but a few years ago...

Hello, 21 months here and I have started Mandamus by myself to try and nudge IRCC. I am keeping my expectations low as the court has a huge backlog of judicial review cases, but if there's a tiny chance it might trigger some movement then it's worth a shot.

Hello, even non EE can be stuck for years; I personally know a EE applicant in security screening since september 2023, so almost 3 years, no end in sight.

    Security screening type A34: comprehensive

I'm from Morocco, I don't know why i'm in comprehensive screening. you have to mentally prepare to wait 2-3 years, if it's faster then you'll get a nice surprise, if not then you won't be too disappointed.
