Why are you moving to Canada?

If money is the primary motivating factor then Canada is not the best place. Salaries are much lower than the US and other similar countries and cost of living is high. I am looking at enjoying the quality of life, environment and traveling across the country.

Has anyone tried sending their PR card to their home location by express courier services like DHL, FedEx, UPS etc? My card is with my uncle in Ontario and I am contemplating getting it shipped to my residence in New Delhi. Sorry, if this is the wrong thread to post the question. Didn't want...

    Marriage before Landing in Canada

I am not an expert on immigration rules, however, IMO the rejection should not in anyway effect the application of the primary sponsor.

My decision to return rests on how fast the Covid induced recession recovery starts. I am in touch with friends working in Canada and will take a decision to move only when the job market starts picking up again. IMO this might take a good 12 months or so (hoping for a vaccine to be commercially...

Thank god I did a "soft landing" in early March and returned home before the lockdown started. Given the adverse Covid impact on the global economy, I am in no rush to return. However, it would be nice to get hold of the PR card ASAP.

Got an email today from IRCC stating that they are still working on my application. The text is as follows: You may not have heard from us in a little while. This is normal. Most of the progress on your application happens closer to your estimated completion date. We send messages to your...

It is not at all about society, but personal preferences. If one is so desperate to immigrate then maybe yes it makes sense for him/her to take any job to support oneself. Reskilling, switching sectors etc will only work when the economy revives. It makes absolutely no sense to move bag and...

I completed my soft landing in March and now I am in touch with friends who are working in Canada. Most of them are in banking/finance. Going back to Canada, at least in the short term (2020) doesn't seem very attractive. Getting a "front line" job is not the reason I went through the PR process...
