    FSW Inland PR applicants

As expected, I just got my COPR email with the 30-day timeline to submit passport and the relevant docs. Can’t explain how long and tedious the last two years have been. Cheers folks!

Thanks! I’ll believe it when I get the passport back. Re. Security, yes, I believe it is passed too. Officer left a note saying something along “no reason to doubt, I approve the file.” Officer looked at the file ~2 weeks after Mandamus, ~4 weeks after the initial demand letter.

I got the CBSA report back, which I requested in January. Good news, Mandamus worked after all, and now my file is marked as approved with criminality, eligibility, and medicals passed. Now I expect to get an RVF as it’s been almost two months since they approved the file. Overall, my...

A short update from me: I’m an FSW Inland at VO Ottawa who moved out of Canada in May 2021. I filed for Mandamus two months ago with no results to this day. Since IRCC responded by requesting my current address ~3 weeks ago, Mandamus is no longer helpful, or so I’m told. It’s been 24.5 months...

We got our TRVs and now thinking of going back to Canada, where we’ll wait for our Portal access. Would it be a problem to state that to the border officials?

No updates for me yet. Expecting to get them around mid-March. Positive expectations as Canada is officially easing border restrictions now.

Yea, it’s done with lawyers. Ranges anywhere from $2.5k to $8k from what I hear. My case is still being worked on, so I can’t tell much as I don’t have a full picture yet. I’m kind of updating in these threads every other week.

    ***>>> March 2020 AOR <<<***

Just checked my profile, and got an update with `Review of medical results - February xx, 2022`. Finally, someone looked at my application. I wonder if my Mandamus filing (a week ago or so) did it…

It’s anywhere from C$2.5k to C$8k depending on how the case goes. I got different quotes from three firms. My contract with them is still ongoing so I don’t really know how much it’s going to end up costing. Depends on the outcome/appeal, etc.

A Thanks, I’ll keep this group posted, for sure. I decided to file at 22 month mark, so patience has been running thin for a while.

Is it directed at me? If yes, my VO is Ottawa and no ADRs whatsoever.

Congrats! So, a quick update of my case. My lawyer filed for a Mandamus on my behalf. I should get a response in a 4-5 weeks from here or so I’m told. Lots of folks seem to get their PPRs these days so fingers crossed.

    FSW Inland PR applicants

My immigration law firm informed me that they had submitted a demand letter. The next step is to file for a Mandamus in two weeks as IRCC usually doesn’t respond to demand letters. Once they file for Mandamus, it can take four to six weeks to get a response from them, sometime around March 10th...
