What could be the reason for another 3 to 4 months ? I received Backgoround check IP2on Jan 12th and I got a ghost update last week. I am not sure whats going on now Any ideas ?

Can you explain what is the role of Senior Officer and Analyst/agent ? Its been more than a month since I got IP2 and a week now after I got 2 Ghost updates in a single day. But I am still waiting for PR. I am not able to make out whats going on. I applied on Sept 9th. Its almost 6 months now.
