Timeline for renouncing PR via eTA application?

Thank you to all who have given such thoughtful advice here -- I think I will try mention that I might have the RO based on my spouse at the border, and then perhaps simply renounce if that seems like the easiest option in secondary. I can get an eTA as I am Scandinavian, so the risk is likely...

Timeline for renouncing PR via eTA application?

Thank you, dpenabill and armoured, for your incredibly kind responses! This helps me think through my options. As you can tell, I am very anxious about this while also knowing full well that this is quite irrational. I thought that since my Canadian citizen spouse moved after I did by about a...

Timeline for renouncing PR via eTA application?

Hi all, I received my PR through spousal sponsorship in 2018 and then left Canada a little over a year later to take a job where I am from. My Canadian spouse followed me there about a year after that. We are now settled in my country of origin, and we will likely stay here since we are...

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

Very understandable. Hard to understand the variations in processing time. I do know that the authorities in my country (Norway) are extremely quick to respond to background requests and have, uh, very thorough info on citizens, thinking this might be part of it. But most likely luck of the...

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

I just got confirmation that I am, indeed, at CPC-M. I wonder if you could straight-up ask CIC about this? It is helpful to know...best of luck!

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

Well, looks like all you guessers were correct, because my sponsor got an email this morning confirming that the application will stay in Mississauga! Thanks for playing, and I guess I'll really join this thread now :)

**MISSISSAUGA PROCESSING** - Outland Spousal Applicants

I wonder if anyone more experienced want to make some guesses about my file. AOR1 April 12th, meds passed June 20th and background check in process that same day. I think my case is pretty straight-forward -- long relationship with marriage last year, identical ages and educational backgrounds...

    New Application Checklist

Yeah, like I said, it was not returned and I had AOR1 April 12th. Already on BGC :)

    New Application Checklist

I don't know, but I can tell you that my package with a 2018-2 checklist sent after the 2018-3 was out did not get returned.

    ****APRIL 2018***** OUTLAND SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP

Medical passed and background check in progress today (AOR1 April 12th). We had SA a while ago, but have received no file transfer email...not sure how to interpret this. I'm Scandinavian and should be processed at LVO, but wondering if maybe I'm still at CPC-M? Good luck to all April applicants!
