A ghost update is a phrase for a status change in the Gckey, You need to check your Gckey periodically to see if there has been changes to the current status since you last logged in. There won't be an email notifying the changes.
Another factor being that the letter asks the Passport be deposited with the embassy within 30 days of the letter, in effect the passport gets stuck until the process is completed.
If I am not wrong, I believe the dependent(s) can only get their Copr after the Primary applicant (if inland) has completed the Landing process and has been issued the eCopr. Until such time the Passport if submitted is kept pending at the embassy.
I believe there must be a mechanism in place, perhaps EE applications would be handled irrespective of VOs or provinces while PNPs or other similar applications would be processed only by certain VOs.
Thanks, yes indeed, the eCOPR came in quite fast, incidentally I too follow the same approach, sent out multiple emails and got the Portal 2 on Dec 29, what’s you COPR expiry ?
