For non accompanying over 18 those I believe require a police check (explained in the guide and on the document checklist)..

I guess we will get the visitor permit extension app ready since we don’t know how long it’ll take to get the police checks and declaration form from her dependant living out of country. Hopefully not long!

We are submitting a extension to my wife’s visitor permit - they stamped her three months this trip. We are going to submit the visitor permit extension then the sponsorship application with OWP. Just wondering though, is there some wording I should avoid on the visitor permit extension...

is this a smart idea? My spouse is here on visitor permit expiring in two months. The sticky thread on this forum says to put all three applications together in one envelope. Is that still good advice?

Ah,this is why I asked. When you get to the part of the checklist that says if she’s living with me to provide proof of a work permit or some sort of status. I could show proof of her visitor stamp in her passport but...would that work?

What about my previous comment above? CBSA specifically told us they don’t want people coming into Canada knowing they want to settle on a visitor permit. We told them she was just coming for a visit.
