    Feb 2015 citizenship applicants

We're done! Hubby had his citizenship ceremony yesterday in Surrey. Really glad my mom was there with me because they DO NOT like any noise from babies. My 6 month old made some noise (not crying) and this lady comes over and tells me if she does it again I have to leave. It wasn't like my...

Can you vote if your citizenship ceremony is on election day?????

Keep us posted and good luck! I also asked about this since my husband's oath is on the 15th and they said just bring the required ID and proof of address. They add them to the list at the polling station.

Just received the oath invite letter today. Ecas changed to decision made on Aug 22 so almost 1 month to get the letter. My husband's oath date is Oct 15 in Surrey.

Oath letter just arrived today. So that was a month minus 2 days from decision made to receiving the letter. Oath ceremony is Oct 15 at 830am in Surrey. Thankfully after we get back from California.

Ecas just changed to Decision Made this morning. No update in the note section (last thing is still about the test invite letter). Here's hoping the oath date isn't during the 3 days we plan to travel to see family in Oct (probably good I've held off buying plane tickets).

Help re: no records found for I-94 request

If the FOIA request is for yourself it should be free, the website just needs something put in for a dollar amount. My husband ended up in the same situation (CIC asked for I94 but he's a US Citizen). Make sure you include a scanned copy of your passport Bio page (maybe include Nexus card...

    Surrey CIC Timeline

As a US citizen he had no passport stamps for when we travelled to the US (of course he wouldn't). CIC cant confirm he was out of the country for the days he said he was without proof. They can see when he returned from CBSA reports, which they have access to if you check that box on the...

Grats! Keep us posted! My husband had his test on June 26 but they wanted his US entry records (which we provided the following Tuesday) so we're probably back in a holding pattern for a while. :(

Sorry for the delayed response. As thecoolguysam said, make sure you set up an account and don't make the request as a quest. https://foiaonline.regulations.gov/foia/action/public/home The links to create an account and make a request are on the right. If you select make a request you will...

    CBP records for US Citizen?

Well amazingly our FOIA request has already been processed! Logged into the website after hubby got the email notification and am now staring at a 43 page pdf (we took many day trips to go shopping). Hopefully this is all they need.

Thanks for the responses. Our FOIA request was submitted last Friday (6/26) and was actually completed this morning (Monday, 6/29). I don't know what good luck we just used up for that to happen but hopefully anyone else waiting is seeing similar response time. The pdf we received was 44...

    Feb 2015 citizenship applicants

Well my husband wrote his test on Friday. He passed ok but CIC wants a travel history report from CBP in order to confirm the dates my husband left Canada. When he applied he had 87 days outside Canada and 1244 in but no passport stamps. We live about 5 minutes from the border so all of our...

    CBP records for US Citizen?

Thanks everyone. Already created an account and submitted a request through FOIA. Hopefully they wont take that long since the agent wrote "30 days to submit" on the notice they gave my husband. He has 87 days outside of Canada and 1244 days of physical presence as of the time we submitted...
